Gobies from the Goby Frontiers gallery
Gobies are ideal inhabitants of most modern reef tanks, and with over 2,000 species of gobies out of there – the vast majority from reefs and inshore waters – you’ll never be stuck for choice.
Most commonly available marine gobies are:
- Small enough for all but pico-reefs
- Peaceful, unless too crowded with other gobies
- Mostly easy-to-feed (but beware of some of the sand-sifting gobies, like the sleeper gobies, which can be tricky in smaller aquariums)
- Interesting characters that can plug a niche, such as the shrimp gobies that associate with pistol shrimps, or the lawnmower gobies that’ll plough through the green stuff for you
As a fan of these little fish, I was pleased to hear from Glassbox-Design of a brand new website, Goby Frontiers, that’s all about gobies.
The gallery of gobies is like looking into a sweet shop!
